Turning 41

A Short Trip Down Memory Lane… What I was doing 40 years ago? Running around in a diaper in Honduras! Don’t remember much else…lol. What I was doing 35 Years ago? Moving to Miami from Honduras! My first airplane flight! Meeting my entire family for the first time when went we arrived. Rode my first escalator and saw the first automatic door. I thought I was in a futuristic world. What I was doing 30 Years ago? Going to Miami Gardens Elementary, playing with Transformers and GI Joe. Wearing KangaROOS tennis shoes. Watching the 49ers beat Dolphins in Super Bowl 19. The janitor and me were the only ones in the whole school going for the 49ers…hahaha. What I was doing 25 Years ago?  I was in 10th grade. Cruising Hialeah in a Ford Probe. Watching the San Francisco 49ers win the 1990 Super Bowl ( not trying to rub it in). Playing football in the street with @RoldeeEspana @ChrisMontero @JesusPerez. Setting the neighborhood record for 7 touchdowns in game. Yeah, I still remember! What I was doing 20 Years Ago? Watching 49ers become the first team to win five Super Bowls. Partied at bars and clubs with friends  @WillieCabrera, @GiovannySalazar, @PascualMejiaJR. Met @EricHess. Started working at PRC working as telemarketer for AT&T, selling gift certificates and soon began my career in I.T., Met @SheilaLeathem, @MaureenRuano, @OctavioFuste, and @JymmyRodriguez! Still remember being nervous the first day, since I had zero I.T. experience. Best advice came from Jymmy, who told me “Don’t worry Tito – half the people here, don’t know what the hell they are doing.” What I was doing 15 Years... read more

Stuart Scott R.I.P.

I was sad to hear of Stuart Scott’s passing today from cancer. I remember those nights before going to bed, I would turn on ESPN and watch Stuart Scott and Rich Eisen on Sportscenter. Watching the highlights I would always keep an ear out for a new Stuart saying. I can still hear his voice in my head when I say them. He will be missed by all us Sports Fans. For many years, he would be the reason I turned on ESPN and went to sleep a little happier. Thanks Stuart, R.I.P. My favorites sayings: “Cool as the other side of the pillow.” “Vlade Daddi, he like to party. He don’t cause trouble, he don’t bother nobody.” “Just call him butter cuz he’s on a roll.” “He must be the bus driver cuz he was takin’ him to school.” “The Lord said ‘You’ve got to rise UP!'” See more Stuart Sayings Here: http://www.sportscenteraltar.com/phrases/phrases.asp   Stuart Scott ESPY Speech... read more

5 Seconds to Success

Tony Robbins says “It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped.” Which is why making a decision and then taking immediate action is so important to your success.  Mel Robbins says in the video below that we have to push ourselves and take action within 5 seconds after thinking of something. However, if you don’t take action within those 5 seconds to move forward with the thought or decision that’s in your mind, then it’s unlikely you will do it. Think about it, how many times have you walked by the kitchen sink and seen a couple of dirty cups that needed to washed? You probably could  wash them in less than 15 seconds, or better yet, it would take only a few seconds to toss them into the dishwasher. But what do we do, we let them sit there and let them pile up with more dirty cups. And before you know it you got 10 dirty cups in the sink – and  now you definitely don’t feel like cleaning them up, there’s to many, I’ll do them later you say. So they sit around some more, until finally there are no more clean cups.  It’s human nature to postpone things we don’t want to do or we think are interrupting our personal time. However, in the amount of time, we debated with ourselves whether to do it or not. We could have done it and moved on to another task. The same is true about our success. We let the things we don’t want to do pile up and before we know it we think... read more

New Year – Making Declarations

Hello 2015, Good Bye 2014! It’s a New Year and I am excited about all the possibilities this year will bring. Personal, Monetary, and Spiritual goals are all in my list, though not necessarily in that order. Make Declarations in Your Life Last year, I made a great deal of progress in my spiritual and personal life and this year I am looking to grow more. A book that helped me refocus my faith and that I am going to read again this year is “I Declare: 31 Promises to Speak Over your Life” by Joel Olsteen.  It talks about declarations and how they affect your life. The book has 31 chapters with declarations.  I made a New Year resolution last year to read a chapter everyday in January to start off the year. All I can say is the Blessings I received last year were amazing, and this book helped me realize how important it is to make declarations to yourself everyday. It taught me to trust God and to do so unconditionally. God know everything that we need and where it falls in the puzzle of life. You just have to trust and have faith, he will get you there. Of course, you need to do your part. Things just don’t happen, but if you are willing to have faith, work towards your goals, accept your failures, and change your approach. Then nothing can keep you from success. So don’t sell yourself short, you have an amazing gift inside of you and God wants you to show the world. Don’t let fear stop you, don’t let what... read more

Being Faithful During Adversity

I’ve never been one to show my religious side to others. I don’t talk about my faith openly to many people, because I want to avoid the uncomfortable feeling that comes when two people discuss different religious views. You know the one, where one person thinks the other person’s belief is wrong.  Two things I learned early in life, if  you want to avoid arguments with other people, never discuss politics or religion. However,  recently I’ve had a need to express my Faith.  I mean, we say we believe in God, but how do we show it everyday? In the past, like many, I used to come to God only when things were not going my way. My Faith would be disguised as hope. I would pray hoping my problem would be resolved.  And although God would always respond and answer my prayers, I would always feel like my Faith had not been completely committed. Hope is not the same as Faith, with hope you leave room for doubt, when Faith there is only certainty. I am constantly praying to God through the day. I pray for my family and friends, every single one of them and since I have a big family it may take me a few days to get through all my uncles, aunts, and cousins. So if a family member or friend is reading this, “Yes, I do pray for you”. I pray for our health and for prosperity. I believe in the power of prayer, and while I do pray for others, my prayers are mostly about being thankful to God for all his blessings. Sometimes we take those blessings for... read more

Five Four Clothing Club Review

Five Four Clothing Club Review I got my new Five Four Clothing package today. Check out the video to see my review of the August 2014. Pros: 2 Stylish Shirts for $60. Shirts are supposed to be worth $120 combined. Cons: No returns, if you don’t like the clothing they sent you then you are stuck with it. Only exchanges for sizing reasons. So you cannot change it for another item.  Verdict: Based on the package I received, I was disappointed it did not come in a box. Receiving it in a bubble envelop gave it a cheapy feel, since their website advertises a box in the mail. The two shirts are really nice, but for $60 I could probably get a name brand shirt of the same value that I really like at store like Kohl’s. The other thing I did not like was that I thought I would be getting an outfit that I could wear together. I would have rather received an outfit, than two shirts in my... read more

Having Issues with Big Commerce

So far for the last 3 days I have not been able to get to my website.  However, BigCommerce has not been able to help me because they say it’s a network issue. ( going on 4 days) I’ve been trying to explain that all other websites work except this one, and I know based on a recent email they were doing CDN work. So maybe that caused an issue. I even called comcast to investigate and they say it’s most likely a bigcommerce issue. They are not blocking anything.  We’ve done all the routine troubleshooting with bigcommerce and comcast. Clear cache Clear cookiesClear temp files Ipconfig /flushdns Restarted PC Restarted and Reset Router and Modem So not sure what it can be, the only clue I have is the trace route for my site and another site I manage. Based on this I can clearly tell my request is reaching bigcommerce before it times out. But they keep saying it’s not their problem. Any network guys want to tell me based on the trace if the problem is happening on bigcommerce? This trace route fails for the site I cannot reach   This trace route is successful and works. UPATED 8/31/2014 Not sure what happen, but the website ip appears to have changed now, I am now able to connect However, as you can see the tracert still times out when it reaches fw7.bigcommerce.com:... read more
